A full review of your website's search appearance, content, local visibility, and technical health — including a concrete fix for each item of feedback you shared with us.
Alpha TAB has a real, differentiated story — 20+ years, fully independent, next-day reports, hospital and lab experience. The website tells almost none of it, and what Google shows searchers is actively working against you. The three concerns you raised last year are all confirmed by this audit, and all three are very fixable.
Overall grade. The site is secure and technically functional, but its search snippets are poorly written (some describe a different industry entirely), the blog is off-brand filler content, there is no local SEO footprint at all, and the site is heavier and slower than it should be.
You gave us three pieces of feedback last year. Here's what we found on each, and exactly what we'd do about it.
Those are called meta titles and meta descriptions — the headline and two-line blurb Google shows for each page. Yours were clearly written by a third party unfamiliar with your business, and several are broken English or describe the wrong industry:
Rewritten titles and descriptions for every page are provided in the next section — ready to paste into Yoast.
Your instinct is right. The blog contains 13 outsourced, keyword-stuffed posts with titles like "TAB Companies Maryland Working With Perfection Around" and "Quality Betterment with Test and Balance Companies DC." These pages are indexed by Google, which means prospects searching your company name can land on them — and they read like spam.
This content is hurting you, not helping you. Thin, machine-written content is precisely what Google's helpful-content systems demote, and it damages credibility with the engineers and GCs who vet you. Removal done correctly:
A dedicated Careers page is the right call (better than folding it into Contact — it can also rank for "TAB technician jobs Maryland" searches). It should say exactly what you told us: no specific openings required, always hiring good technicians, and include a simple application form with a resume upload field.
One technical note: your current form plugin (WPForms Lite) does not support file uploads. This needs either a Pro license or a switch to a form plugin with uploads included — a small item we'd handle as part of the rebuild.
Here is every page's current Google snippet next to our recommended replacement. They keep your established "Premier Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing Contractor" tagline and are written to (a) accurately describe what you do, (b) include the search phrases buyers actually use — "test and balance contractor," "TAB contractor," "Maryland/Virginia/DC" — and (c) fit Google's display limits.

Also fixed as part of this work: the homepage's social-share title is currently just "Home," and social shares pull a schematic drawing as the preview image instead of your logo or a jobsite photo.
We could not find a Google Business Profile for Alpha TAB in Maryland. That means you don't appear in the Google Maps results for searches like "test and balance contractor Maryland" — where competitors with even mediocre websites show up first. For a service business, this is the single highest-leverage free asset in existence.
As a service-area business you can create the profile with your address hidden, list your MD/VA/DC service area, and start collecting reviews from GCs and engineers you've worked with for 20 years.
The website never states where you're located (your Procore profile says West River, MD — the website says nothing). There's no LocalBusiness/ProfessionalService structured data, so Google has no machine-readable record of your name, phone, and service area. Both are quick fixes: a consistent name/phone/location block in the footer, plus schema markup in the page code.
The homepage hero photo is a stock image with another website's watermark still visible in the corner — a licensing risk and a credibility problem. The Duct Air Leakage Testing photo is a low-resolution phone picture with a 2016 timestamp burned into it. Meanwhile your genuinely good photos (the pump room, the capture-hood measurement, the color-coded schematics, your lettered van) are underused. Professional imagery matters when your buyers are engineers.
All 17 services live as a single bullet list on one page. Nobody searching "fume hood testing DC" or "duct air leakage testing Maryland" will find you, because no page on your site is about those things. The highest-value services (fume hood testing, DALT, stairwell pressurization, commissioning) each deserve a short dedicated page — even 250 words with a photo beats a bullet point.
Small errors add up in front of a detail-oriented audience: "Lets Get In Touch" (missing apostrophe), a footer column labeled "Quick Link" (singular), and the email address rendered as "[email protected]" for some visitors due to the spam-protection plugin's obfuscation.
Items 1–5 are addressed in full — along with a modern redesign — in the accompanying proposal, and you can see the direction in the home page mockup.
